Dr. Sree received his BS and MS in Chemistry from Mahatma Gandhi University and Ph.D. in Chemistry from Indian Institute of Technology Madras. Subsequently, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Kansas State University and Rice University. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at The University of Texas at El Paso and was previously a faculty member at Clemson University (Research Scientist, CU-ICAR) and University of Toledo (Research Assistant Professor, Polymer Institute). He and his group members are interested in two-dimensional quantum materials and their physicochemical modifications to develop unique quantum structures. In addition to probing the fundamental properties, his lab also applies quantum structures with engineered properties for electronics, energy, sensing, and biomedical applications.
